Hand-Carved Mahakala Set - Spiritual protection Mahakala
About Our Statue :
This Hand-Carved Mahakala Set, exquisitely hand-carved from buffalo bone, depicts a holy trio featuring the wrathful god Mahakala, a respected guardian in Vajrayana Buddhism. Standing 17.5 cm tall with a 4 cm base, this lightweight (0.19 kg) item is both portable and suitable for a personal shrine. Mahakala is recognized for his aggressive personality and occupation as a Dharmapala, who protects practitioners and removes barriers on the spiritual path.
The middle panel depicts Mahakala with a wrathful expression, many arms, and symbolic instruments such as the kartrika (sacred curved knife) and kapala (skull cup). These aspects represent his ability to cut connections and overcome ignorance. The primary figure is surrounded by attendants or dakinis, each carved with similar accuracy to represent Mahakala's energy and protecting presence. The surrounding flame and lotus designs emphasize cleansing and enlightenment, while the fine intricacy of the spinning patterns depicts the deity's spiritual energy.
This Mahakala triptych, created with complex patterns and natural natural colors, serves as a powerful reminder of impermanence, protecting compassion, and spiritual independence. Its folding form makes it ideal for rituals, meditation, or as a devotional item to seek Mahakala's guidance and protection.
Introduction To Mahakala :
Mahakala is the guardian god of Mahayana Buddhism and all Tibetan Buddhist schools. He represents various ways, each with its features and characteristics. He is seen as the emanation of distinct beings in some circumstances, such as Avalokitesvara or Chakrasamvara. The five kleshas (adverse ailments) are transmuted into the five pearls of wisdom, and Mahakala is generally typically represented with a crown of five skulls.

How do take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
