About Our Statue :
This 30cm Fasting Buddha Figurine dramatically depicts Siddhartha Gautama's complex meditation and self-discipline before enlightenment. His emaciated appearance represents profound spiritual devotion, detachment, and the search for inner enlightenment. This sculpture promotes mindfulness and devotion and is ideal for meditation rooms, home altars, or Buddhist temples.
The Fasting Buddha is finely carved, with a placid facial expression conveying peace and tranquillity. His beard and hair are realistically sculpted, and he wears long ears and an urna on his forehead. The body is carved with meticulous detail, revealing the Buddha's nerves, the downward slope of his stomach, and visible bones, highlighting his ascetic nature. His garments are also beautifully constructed, and he is seated in the Dhyana Mudra, a profound meditation posture. The sculpture's base depicts different followers respectfully performing namaste and praying, with a grandiose carving that matches the Buddha's celestial presence. A masterfully sculpted halo is placed behind his back, adding to the holy atmosphere, while an elegantly carved double vajra represents strength and the unification of wisdom and compassion.
This intricately designed statue, handcrafted from pure copper with an antique finish, exemplifies excellent craftsmanship while stressing Buddha's dedication. The peaceful face and skeletal structure depict a profound path of self-discovery, making it an appropriate complement to any religious place. This fasting Buddha statue is ideal for Buddhist practitioners and collectors and a unique spiritual gift. It represents endurance and inner transformation.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
