About Our statue
This hand-carved wooden sculpture of Chenrezig, the deity of compassion, is detailed with brilliant acrylic colors, emphasizing its intricate carvings and spiritual value. Chenrezig is seated in a tranquil and compassionate position, surrounded by two Nagakanyas at the top. These Nagakanyas represent the snake deities, frequently associated with wisdom and power. Above him, the stupa, a symbol of enlightenment, sits in the center, adding to the statue's spiritual profundity.
The throne on which Chenrezig sits at the sculpture's base is adorned with two animal-like deity heads, each with an intricate carving. These are legendary beings who provide support and protection for the central god. Two other deities flank Chenrezig, adding to the divine entourage and heightening the piece's sacredness. Each figure is meticulously carved, with delicate features and expressions that contribute to the overall harmony of the piece.
The base of the throne, which depicts two elephants, provides another depth of meaning. Elephants are frequently connected with strength, intelligence, and loyalty, which helps Chenrezig fulfill his duty of personifying compassion. The carving in the center of the throne connects the elements, transforming this statue into a beautiful artwork and an important spiritual symbol. The use of wood and the addition of vivid acrylic paint highlight the artistry and care that went into crafting this sacred item.
Introduction to Chenresig
Chenresig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenresigs encourages the development of a calm and compass development of Compassion, which is the root foundation of whistling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
How do take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
