About our Statue
The Chenrezig Bodhisattva Figure symbolizes compassion, crafted with an oxidized copper body and gold-plated details. Measuring 14.5 cm in height and 11 cm in width, the statue depicts Chenrezig seated gracefully on a moon-disc lotus seat, representing his role as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. His calm and gentle expression exudes serenity, reflecting his boundless compassion for all beings.
The statue beautifully showcases Chenrezig’s four arms, each holding symbolic objects. His upper right hand has a crystal rosary, representing the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, reminding us of life’s impermanence. In his upper left hand, he holds a lotus flower, symbolizing his power to help humanity overcome suffering and spiritual ignorance. His lower hands are joined in a namaste gesture, holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, signifying the fulfillment of desires and the path to enlightenment. The five-jewel crown adorning his head enhances the statue’s sacred and transcendent aura, making it a profound representation of spiritual wisdom and compassion.
Introduction to Chenrezig
Chenrezig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
How do take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
