Buddha Shakyamuni is seated upon an ornately decorated throne lifted by the mighty lions posing on either side. These treasures seem to have been guarded by two gorgeous Dragons who are in turn holding precious stones to offer to the Buddha.

Introduction To 108 Shakyamuni Buddha :
108 Shakyamuni Buddha thangka shows him portraying the Dhyana “meditation” mudra with his left hand. The traditional alms bowl of a Buddhist monk sits in the palm of his hand. Shakyamuni Buddha sits in a full lotus pose on a single lotus pedestal. Additionally, Shakyamuni Buddha is adorned with all the traditional marks of a Buddha. This includes the third eye of wisdom, three necklines, an ushnisha top knot, and elongated ears. Indeed, Prince Siddhartha Gautama reflected his social status as Hindu royalty.
