About Our Product

This Handcrafted Chemar Box is a painted wooden offering box created for Tibetan Buddhist rituals, Himalayan altar decor, and meaningful spiritual home display. Measuring 41.5cm in height, 47cm in length, and 15cm in width, with a weight of 1.59 kg, it is crafted from wood and richly detailed with acrylic colors. Its vibrant form features sacred offering motifs, lotus designs, auspicious symbols, flame shaped elements, and animal inspired side handles, creating a beautiful ritual vessel for shrine spaces, meditation rooms, and Losar celebrations.

In Tibetan Buddhism and Himalayan culture, the Chemar is a symbolic two-part container used to hold ritual grains, roasted barley flour, tsampa, butter, and sugar. Traditionally, one side is filled with sweet roasted barley flour and butter, while the other holds roasted wheat or barley seeds. Together, these offerings represent prosperity, abundance, gratitude, and prayers for a bountiful harvest, good fortune, peace, and protection for the household.

This Tibetan painted wooden offering box is especially important during Losar, the Tibetan New Year, when it is placed on family shrines and used to welcome guests with blessings. A pinch of grain may be tossed into the air three times as a prayer for health, harmony, and peace across the land. With its hand painted Himalayan artistry and sacred symbolism, this Chemar Box brings a graceful presence to Buddhist altar decor, spiritual storage, and cultural home display.
