About Our Prayer Wheel:

This Prayers Wheel is a sacred Buddhist instrument designed to support mindfulness, devotion, and the continuous flow of positive energy. Handcrafted from a refined combination of wood and copper, this spiritual piece stands 36.5cm in height and 11cm in width, with a lightweight yet stable weight of 0.45kg, making it ideal for personal meditation spaces, home altars, or spiritual shelves. Its balanced construction reflects traditional Himalayan craftsmanship while offering a compact, elegant presence.

The cylindrical copper body is traditionally engraved with sacred Buddhist mantras, symbolizing unending prayer and compassion released into the universe with every turn. The wooden handle and structure add warmth and grounding energy, while decorative turquoise and coral artificial stones provide vibrant spiritual symbolism. In Tibetan tradition, turquoise represents healing and protection, while coral symbolizes vitality and life force. The harmonious blend of materials and colors enhances both the spiritual and visual appeal of this handmade prayer wheel.

How does the Buddhist Prayer Wheel benefit us?

The benefits associated with rotating the wheel are numerous. It promotes knowledge, compassion, and bodhicitta in the practitioner and improves siddhis (spiritual powers such as clairvoyance, precognition, etc.). The practitioner can repeat the mantra as often as possible while the wheel is rolling, maintaining a calm, meditative attitude. A Tibetan Buddhist tradition holds that after a practice session, one should dedicate any acquired merits to the benefit of all sentient beings. Then three times Om Ah Hum. This is usually among Tibetans after finishing any Buddhist practice, including the prayer wheel exercise.

Introduction to Prayer Wheel

A prayer wheel is cylindrical on a spindle used in Tibetan Buddhism. It is typically inscribed with the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" and rotated by hand as a spiritual practice to accumulate merit. Spinning the wheel is believed to have the same spiritual benefits as reciting the mantra aloud. The use of prayer wheels is widespread in Tibetan Buddhism and has spread to other cultures.
