The Enlightened One is radiantly portrayed in this Shakyamuni Buddha Art of Tibet Statue, which is carved from a copper body and gilded in 24K gold. Its small size, measuring 7.5 inches (19 cm) in height and weighing 0.99 kg, makes it perfect for private altars or places of worship.
In the bhumisparsha mudra or earth-touching gesture, the Buddha is shown with his right hand reaching down to touch the ground, signifying the moment of enlightenment when Siddhartha invited the soil to bear witness to his awakening. His calm demeanor radiates compassion, inner serenity, and tranquility with his downcast eyes and soft smile.
Size: 7.5”/19cm (Height) x 5.1”/13cm (Base)
Weight: 0.99 kg
Material: 24K Gold Gilded, Gold & Acrylic Paintings, Copper Body
Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.

Really enjoyed my experience receiving our Tonka.. We were more than happy with how ours came out! You will be too...
The statue came in excellent condition! I was worried especially since I had it consecrated before shipping (which evamratna offers for a fee if you ask!) But the statue came perfectly. Also, it was way bigger than I anticipated which was a lovely surprise, because usually the statues come smaller than I thought when initially buying them. These statues are pricy, but I recommend having at least one in your collection if you can afford it. You’re also supporting local Nepalese craftsmen, and the price I find is reasonable for most people.
Beautiful statue!
It's always a great pleasure to buy from Evam Ratna; the communication is warm and heartfelt, all my statues were carefully packaged and arrived quickly. Thank you so much!Mt
