Traditionally Hand-Carved Oxidized Copper Statue For White Tara Chant

We have attentively hand-carved the statue of Goddess White Tara using a traditional Himalayan sculpting technique. Oxidized copper is used to create the body. The deity is seen holding an utpala in each hand while doing the Vitarka mudra with her left hand while reclining on top of a moon disc lotus seat. Practitioners can use this sculpture for various Vajrayana practices, daily meditation, and yoga. We used a hammer and small chisels to hand-carve the intricate design patterns. To do delicate carvings, artists must have decades of experience as he has to create intricate design patterns on a small surface area.

This artistically carved oxidized copper body statue of White Tara will make a wonderful present for a practitioner like you from Nepal.

Tara is related to Chenrezig (Avalokitesvara), the Compassionate Bodhisattva. According to one legend, she was born from Chenrezig's compassionate tears. Some also regard her as Chenrezig's consort or female manifestation. White Tara has seven eyes, one on her forehead and one on each hand and foot, symbolizing her compassionate vigilance to see the world's suffering.
