Original Hand painted Lokeshvara Thangka:

The "1000-armed Lokeshvara" refers to a depiction of the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (also known as Lokeshvara), who is revered in various Buddhist traditions, particularly in Mahayana Buddhism. In this representation, Avalokiteshvara is depicted with a thousand arms, each holding an implement or symbol of compassion and wisdom.

The thousand arms and multiple heads symbolize the bodhisattva's boundless compassion and ability to reach out and assist countless beings simultaneously. This form represents the idea that Avalokiteshvara is tirelessly working to alleviate the suffering of all sentient beings.
