Divine Himalayan Thangka of Vajrasattva | Dorje Sempa

Talented artists at Enlightenment Studio painstakingly painted the beautiful Himalayan Thangka of Vajrasattva. The cotton canvas thangka, adorned with Lhasa stone colors and 24K gold, radiates both artistic brilliance and spiritual vitality. The thangka looks even more impressive because it uses these high-quality materials, turning it from just a piece of art into a sacred item that symbolizes the divine qualities of Vajrasattva, the god of purification and spiritual change.

Vajrasattva is an essential figure within Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the ideas of purification and the everlasting nature of the mind. Shown as being calm and meditative while sitting on a lotus, he has a thunderbolt (vajra) and a bell, which represent the combination of wisdom and skillful means. He is white in colour, which illustrates the clarity and unchanging nature of the mind as well as the boundless wisdom of the Buddha. He is called upon in purification ceremonies primarily to remove negative karma and internal difficulties. His mantra is recited to help purify the bodies and minds of practitioners. The presence of Vajrasattva represents the ability for deep transformation, leading practitioners toward clarity and liberation from the karma of their previous lives.
