About Our Statue:
Introduce a sense of deep tranquility and wisdom into your space with our Meditating Shakyamuni Buddha Statue. This statue, modest in size at 7.8 inches tall, 5.1 inches base width, and 1.12 kg, is an ideal addition to any home, office, or meditation area seeking a touch of calm and introspection.
Crafted from an oxidized copper body, the statue exudes a timeless, antique quality. The serene expression of Shakyamuni Buddha, depicted in a classic meditative pose, is accentuated by the subtle gold and acrylic paintings, highlighting his peaceful demeanor and spiritual grace. The oxidation process gives this piece a unique character, reminiscent of ancient Buddhist statues and artifacts.
Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha and founder of Buddhism, is a symbol of enlightenment, teaching the path to spiritual awakening and liberation from suffering. This statue serves as a beautiful reminder of the Buddha's teachings on mindfulness, compassion, and peace. It is an ideal piece for those seeking inspiration in their spiritual practice or anyone wishing to infuse their environment with a sense of serene contemplation.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king, following his father's wishes, and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How Do You Take Care of Your Statues?
- Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
- Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
- Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
- Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
Consecration Service Available
Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
Please note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
