About our Statue:

Western Paradise Deity Amitabha Buddha stands 6.3 inches (16 cm) tall with a base measuring 4.5 inches (11.5 cm), and weighs 0.79 kilograms, offering a modest but meaningful presence. Crafted from an oxidized copper body, it features a dark, antique-style finish that enhances its traditional appeal and accentuates the fine detailing. The oxidized surface gives the piece a timeless character, making it ideal for personal altars, small meditation spaces, or as a thoughtful spiritual gift. Despite its size, the statue reflects the depth and elegance of Himalayan craftsmanship.

Amitabha is shown in a tranquil sitting stance, holding an alms bowl in his lap to symbolize renunciation and the simplicity of the enlightened life. His peaceful countenance represents the knowledge and compassion he bestows on individuals seeking rebirth in his Pure Land. Amitabha's dedication to assisting all creatures in achieving spiritual awareness and freedom is demonstrated by this gesture.

Introduction to Amitabha:

Amitabha, also called Amida, shines as the celestial Buddha cherished in Mahayana and Pure Land Buddhism. Known as the Buddha of Infinite Light and Life, he dwells in the blissful Western Pure Land of Sukhavati. Legend tells of his vow to rescue all who sincerely call his name, granting them rebirth in this radiant realm where enlightenment flows freely. Devotees embrace this promise by chanting his name, a heartfelt practice at the heart of Pure Land devotion. This handcrafted Nepali art captures the essence of Amitabha’s luminous compassion and timeless story.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
