About Our Statue :
This Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Altar Statue is crafted from a copper and crystal body, standing 22cm tall and 15.5cm wide, weighing 1.52kg. Created by skilled Himalayan artisans, this piece embodies the grounded presence and profound calm of Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha who attained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. Its warm glow and careful detailing make it an inspiring centerpiece for meditation areas, personal shrines, or spiritually themed interiors.
The Buddha is shown seated in the classic earth-touching mudra, symbolizing the moment of calling the earth to witness enlightenment. The serene expression, gently curved robe lines, and the delicate lotus throne beneath the figure highlight both craftsmanship and meaning.
Shakyamuni is honored as the bringer of wisdom, compassion, and awakening. Displaying this statue supports an atmosphere of reflection, mindfulness, and spiritual grounding. Whether placed on an altar, in a meditation room, or within a curated collection of Buddhist art, this handcrafted sculpture adds cultural depth and a sense of reverence to any environment.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king in accordance with his royal father's wishes and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How Do You Take Care of Your Statues?
- Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
- Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
- Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
- Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
Consecration Service Available
Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
Please note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
