Handmade Oxidized Dzambhala Buddhist Deity of Fortune Sculpture

This beautifully sculpted Dzambhala Buddhist deity of fortune statue is a powerful symbol of riches and prosperity. This figure, made of oxidized copper, has a distinct, time-worn aspect that adds an air of holiness to its presence. The craftspeople from Patan, Nepal, show their craftsmanship in every detail, expressing Dzambhala's forceful yet sympathetic expression.

The deity is depicted sitting cross-legged in a regal stance on a moon disc lotus, his right leg pointing outward. Mongoose (Nehulay), who spews out rare stones and jewels, is placed in his left hand while a citron fruit is in his right hand. To emphasize the facial attributes of the deity, the statue is skillfully painted with acrylic colors and covered with valuable gemstones. The gemstones are magnificently placed on a crown, robe, and body ornaments like necklaces, bracelets, and lotus seats.
