Mitrugpa is depicted in the lap with his left hand's palm upturned in the meditation gesture. A vajra scepter is typically held upright on the point with the point balanced on the palm. Mitrugpa's vajra scepter represents him as the symbolic Buddha of Tantric Buddhism's Vajra Family.
