About Our Product

This handcrafted Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is a finely crafted representation of the historical Buddha, made in a oxidized copper body with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic coloring. Measuring 15cm in height, 10.5cm in length, and 7.5cm in width, with a weight of 0.59 kg, it holds a balanced presence suitable for altar placement, meditation spaces, or spiritual home décor. The serene expression and seated form reflect traditional Himalayan craftsmanship inspired by sacred Buddhist art.

Shakyamuni Buddha is shown seated in the vajra posture on a lotus base, symbolizing purity, stability, and awakened wisdom. His right hand touches the earth in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, the earth witnessing gesture that represents the moment of his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests in meditation mudra, holding an alms bowl, which symbolizes renunciation, simplicity, mindfulness, and the discipline of the monastic path. The raised ushnisha, elongated ears, gentle gaze, and monastic robe reflect the traditional iconography of the historical Buddha and his victory over ignorance.

As a Buddhist altar statue, this Shakyamuni Buddha sculpture serves as a meaningful focal point for meditation, prayer, offerings, and quiet reflection. It reminds practitioners of the Buddha’s teachings on compassion, wisdom, discipline, and freedom from suffering. Placed in a shrine room or sacred corner, this statue helps create an atmosphere of peace, mindfulness, and inner clarity, making it a beautiful spiritual piece for personal practice or as a thoughtful Buddhist gift.

Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king following the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. At about 29, he learned of the immense suffering of others. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
