About Our Product

This Sacred Ceremonial Ritual Dagger (Phurba) represents protection, spiritual transformation, and the power to overcome obstacles in Vajrayana practice. Crafted from copper with gold plating, crystal, and gemstone inlays, the dagger features detailed carvings of protective deities, including wrathful faces at the top, and a Makara motif near the blade, symbolizing the harnessing of energy and safeguarding against negative forces. Standing 46 cm tall, this phurba is a striking ritual object suitable for altars, meditation spaces, and sacred collections.

The phurba is traditionally used in Tibetan Buddhist rituals to symbolize the subjugation of negativity and the stabilization of spiritual energy. The top section contains wrathful deities carved to embody protective qualities, while the Makara, a mythical aquatic creature, represents power, protection, and the channeling of divine energy. The richly detailed blade, base, and ornamentation reflect the mastery of Himalayan metalwork traditions.

Placing this ceremonial phurba on your altar enhances spiritual focus, protection, and ritual practice. It serves as a sacred tool for blessings, purification, meditation, and ceremonial offerings. This dagger also makes a thoughtful gift for practitioners, collectors, or anyone seeking a powerful symbol of transformation, protection, and spiritual authority.

Introduction To The Phurba :

The ceremonial dagger (Sanskrit: Kila; Tibetan: phurba) is essential for expelling evil and is considered particularly effective in neutralizing the forces obstructing Tantric Buddhist practice. It has ancient origins, first appearing in the Indian Rig Veda as the core blade of the vajra used by Indra to destroy the primordial cosmic snake Vritra. Kila, derived from Sanskrit, was most likely associated with Vedic sacrifices. Meditation on the Vajrakila Tantra, an early Indian scripture first promoted in Tibet in the eighth century by Padmasambhava, one of the founding teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, is used to invoke the three-headed Vajrakila Buddha.
