About Our Product
This Tibetan Lotus Blossom Stupa brings devotional beauty, sacred symbolism, and peaceful presence to a Buddhist shrine, meditation room, or spiritual home decor setting. Measuring 24 cm in height, 12.5cm in length, and 12.5cm in width, this 1.76 kg stupa is crafted with an oxidized copper body, gold plated details, and gemstone accents of coral and turquoise. Its tiered lotus inspired base, ornate borders, central Buddha shrine, and crowned spire reflect the richness of traditional Tibetan Buddhist artistry.
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, while others were interred in a seated, meditative position, covered by a mound of earth. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
