About Our Product

The Buddhist Descent from Heaven Stupa is a sacred object, capturing a moment of profound spiritual significance. Crafted from copper and beautifully gold-plated, this stupa is adorned with gemstones of coral and turquoise, which enhance its visual appeal and spiritual potency. The design is inspired by the iconic tale of the Buddha's descent from the Tushita heaven, symbolizing the return of enlightenment to the earthly realm. This stupa embodies the transition from the divine to the earthly, carrying the wisdom and peace of the Buddha’s teachings.

This stupa’s design is rich in symbolism, with its structure representing the spiritual journey of the Buddha and his compassionate return to help others. The detailed engravings on the body of the stupa reflect the intricate artistry of Tibetan craftsmanship, with motifs of the lotus flower, symbolizing purity and the blossoming of wisdom. The turquoise and coral gemstones accentuate the spiritual vibrancy, signifying harmony, protection, and the balance of life and wisdom. The stupa’s design encourages practitioners to contemplate the Buddha's descent and his teachings on compassion and peace.

Perfect for meditation or as an altar piece, the Buddhist Descent from Heaven Stupa serves as a daily reminder of the divine wisdom and compassion that can transform the mind and soul. This sacred object is ideal for those seeking to deepen their spiritual practice, inviting tranquility and enlightenment into their space. It not only enhances the aesthetic of any room but also serves as a constant focal point for reflection and connection to the divine.

Introduction of Descent from Heaven Stupa

Historically, before Buddhism, great teachers were interred in mounds. While some were cremated, others were buried in a seated, meditative position, covered by an earth mound. Consequently, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, mirroring the Buddha's posture when he attained Enlightenment and understood the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa signifies his crossed legs in meditation, the middle section represents the Buddha’s body, and the top, featuring a pole rising from the apex encircled by a small fence, symbolizes his head. Prior to the creation of human Buddha images, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
