About Our Statue

This Vairochana Buddha Sculpture is a stunning image of enlightenment and global wisdom in Buddhist culture. This sculpture, expertly carved from copper and finished with gold plating, emits a mystical radiance that represents spiritual clarity and calm. The figure is exquisitely adorned with imitation turquoise and coral stones, which provide symbolic vibrancy and craftsmanship. This work, measuring 37cm in height by 25cm in breadth and weighing 5.26kg, captures both the holy essence and the meticulous craftsmanship of traditional Himalayan artists.

In Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, Vairochana Buddha is regarded as the principal figure of the Five Dhyani Buddhas, representing the all-encompassing wisdom of the Dharmakaya—the enlightened truth body. His calm demeanor and meditative expression represent purity of thinking and the change of ignorance to awakening. The mix of copper and gold represents the balance of the earthy and celestial realms, while the turquoise and coral accents represent compassion, healing, and protection. This sculpture inspires concentration and devotion, acting as a spiritual anchor during meditation and reflection.

This Vairochana Buddha Sculpture enriches any sacred space, temple, or meditation area with its profound symbolism and artistic beauty. It serves as a reminder of the path toward awakening and inner peace, making it an inspiring addition to both spiritual collections and home altars.

Introduction to Vairocana

Vairocana/Mahavairocana Buddha is one of the five Dhyani Buddhas sitting on a lotus pedestal surrounded by hundreds of flowers in the statue. He has three heads, and his hands are in a meditative posture. Adhi Buddha created Vairocana as one of the Five Dhyani Buddhas. Vairocana means "luminous" or "embodiment of light" in Sanskrit. Vairocana is a Primordial Buddha who sits in the heart of the temple. He's also known as the "great lighting one," "the Life force that illuminates the cosmos."

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
