About Our Product
This Handcrafted Shakyamuni Buddha statue is crafted from an oxidized copper body and machine-made, giving it a warm antique appearance for Buddhist altar, shrine, and meditation decor. Measuring 8 cm in height, 5.5cm in length, and 4cm in width, with a weight of 0.16kg, this statue has a peaceful seated form that brings calm presence to any sacred space. The dark oxidized finish highlights the robe patterns, facial expression, lotus base, and hand details, making it a meaningful piece for daily prayer, reflection, and spiritual practice.
Shakyamuni Buddha is shown seated in the vajra posture on a lotus base, representing stability, discipline, and awakened wisdom. His right hand is lowered in the bhumisparsha mudra, or earth touching gesture, symbolizing the moment he called the earth to witness his enlightenment. His left hand rests in his lap holding an alms bowl, representing simplicity, renunciation, and mindful living. The calm face, elongated ears, curled hair, and monastic robe reflect the traditional iconography of the historical Buddha, guiding the viewer toward peace, awareness, and inner clarity.
This statue represents the path of enlightenment, compassion, and freedom from suffering. Placed on a Buddhist altar, meditation table, or home shrine, it supports a peaceful setting for mindfulness, offering practice, and quiet contemplation. The Ceremonial Shakyamuni Buddha Figurine serves as a reminder of the Buddha’s teachings, encouraging wisdom, patience, and a calm heart in everyday life.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, raised as a king according to his royal father's wishes. Around the age of 29, he became aware of humanity's immense suffering. He renounced his lavish lifestyle, clothing, and fortune to discover the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After more than six years of study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he finally achieved his goal, attaining nirvana and becoming a Buddha. Following this enlightenment, he taught that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India, in Sarnath (Benares).
