About Our Statue :
This Copper Shakyamuni Buddha in Bhumisparsha Mudra is an intricately crafted statue, standing 35.5cm in height and 27.5cm in width, made from copper and fire-gold plated for an elegant finish. The Bhumisparsha Mudra, also known as the "earth-touching" gesture, represents the Buddha's call for the earth to witness his enlightenment, symbolizing spiritual awakening and the overcoming of obstacles.
The fire gold plating gives this statue a radiant appearance, while the copper material provides a deep, earthy tone. This statue is a perfect addition to any altar, meditation space, or home décor, bringing both beauty and spiritual significance.
The Shakyamuni Buddha is a revered figure in Buddhism, embodying compassion, wisdom, and peace. Displaying this statue in your home or sacred space is believed to invite blessings of protection, clarity, and spiritual growth, while reminding the practitioner to remain grounded in their practice and mindfulness.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches
