About Our Statue:

This Buddha Shakyamuni Handcrafted Statue features an oxidized copper body with refined silver plating, measuring 21.5cm in height, 15cm in width, and weighing 1.42kg. Designed for collectors and practitioners seeking meaningful Buddhist home decor, this statue brings together traditional Himalayan craftsmanship and sacred symbolism, making it an inspiring addition to any altar or meditation space.

The finely sculpted robe, detailed lotus base, and serene facial expression reflect classical Newari artistry. Silver-plated motifs brighten the entire composition, while the oxidized copper surface adds depth to the contours of the Buddha’s form. The calm posture and carefully carved hand gestures echo a lineage of artisans who preserve centuries-old sculptural traditions.

Representing awakening, inner clarity, and the path to liberation, Shakyamuni Buddha is honored as the historical Buddha who illuminated the way for all beings. This statue embodies the qualities of wisdom and compassion, making it suitable for daily practice, offering rituals, or as a meaningful focal point in spiritual and mindful interior aesthetics.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king following the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How Do You Take Care of Your Statues?
  • Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
  • Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
  • Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
  • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.

Please note: Once consecrated, the statue becomes a sacred object and cannot be returned or refunded.
