About our Statue:
The Amitayus statue, a deity of Longevity, measures 5.5” (14 cm) in height and 3.9” (10 cm) at the base, representing the Buddha of Infinite Life. Crafted from a copper body, the statue is adorned with 24K gold gilding and enhanced with intricate gold and acrylic paintings, showcasing its fine artistry.

Amitayus is represented sitting in a meditative posture, indicating his vast wisdom and unwavering concentration. His hands are in dhyana mudra, holding a kalasha, a holy vase filled with the nectar of immortality, which represents his function as the giver of long life and energy. His calm demeanor radiates compassion and inner peace, inspiring practitioners to practice mindfulness and tranquility.

Bodhisattva Amitayus, often associated with Amitabha Buddha in Mahayana Buddhism, embodies the principle of limitless life and health. His practice is especially cherished for its power to overcome physical and spiritual obstacles to longevity and enlightenment. Amitayus' teachings encourage practitioners to cultivate virtues and lead a life of mindfulness and compassion, offering a path to liberation and the realization of one's true Buddha nature.

Introduction to Amitayus Buddha:

In the rich tapestry of Mahayana Buddhism, Amitayus emerges as a radiant form of Amitabha Buddha, celebrated as the "Buddha of Infinite Life." Linked closely with the Lotus family, he embodies the endless journey of life and the merit needed to reach enlightenment. Often depicted holding a vessel filled with amrita—the legendary elixir of immortality—Amitayus symbolizes the gifts of longevity, healing, and spiritual resilience. His presence inspires all who encounter him to cultivate a life marked by mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom, guiding them toward lasting peace.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
