Yamantaka, the "Destroyer of Death," is a furious manifestation of the wisdom bodhisattva Manjushri. His three blazing eyes on top of his head represent his omniscience and his capacity to look into the past, present, and future. Yamantaka's dynamic stance as he crushes the forces of negativity is depicted in rich detail in the statue, representing his position as a strong force against the ego and the circle of suffering.
