Vintage Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka:
About Our Thangka:
Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is regarded as the father of Buddhism and was a historical figure who lived in ancient India. He gave up his privileged existence as a member of a royal family in order to pursue spiritual truth and enlightenment. He achieved a profound awakening after years of diligent meditation and self-discovery, earning the title "Buddha," which is Sanskrit for "Enlightened One."
Shakyamuni Buddha is frequently depicted sitting in meditation, one hand on the earth (asking the earth to witness his enlightenment), and the other hand making a meditation or teaching gesture. He is portrayed as having a calm and forgiving demeanor, personifying wisdom, compassion, and inner serenity

How does Thangka benefit us?
It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment. The Thangka is revered as a holy item. They promote positivity, spread Buddhism's teachings, bring about peace, harmony, and oneness, and dispel any negative energy that may be there.
