About Our Thangka :
We have had this Thangka in our collection for over 20 years now. This thangka was stored away for several years. We were thrilled to discover the quality and depth of these beautiful thangkas when we unveiled them and decided to showcase them online for everyone. We hope the aesthetics of these vintage statues brings a deep sense of happiness to your hearts.
Introduction To Amitabha Buddha :
Amitabha, which translates to "unlimited brightness," is also known as "Amitayus," or "the Buddha of infinity." The oldest of the Five Dhyani Buddhas of the Vajrayana school, Amitabha is known as the crimson Buddha of the west.
Amitabha Buddha is frequently shown as Shakyamuni Buddha, despite the fact that he is typically sitting and using the ground-touching mudra, which is only appropriate for a seated Shakyamuni Buddha. In Tibetan Buddhism, Amitabha is a red-colored god, and red is the color of love, compassion, and emotional vitality. The lotus is his distinguishing emblem, and he is reputed to protect beings from negative attachment drives. He thus shares qualities with the lotus, such as kindness, openness, and purity.
Amitabha Buddha is the transformation of Attachment into Enlightened Form.
