Standing Mahakali Statue
About Our Ritual Item :
The statue displays a standing Mahakali statue that weighs 2.99 kg and is made of oxidized copper. Its dimensions are 28.5 cm in height and 24 cm in breadth. The Hindu goddess Mahakali, who is adored for her ferocious and transformational nature and is frequently connected to the annihilation of evil and defense against hostile forces, is shown in this exquisitely made statue.
Standing with one foot resting atop a reclining figure—a representation of Lord Shiva—is Mahakali. This position represents the breakdown of the ego and her power over evil forces. With a curved sword (khadga) uplifted in her right arm, she is symbolizing the ability to vanquish ignorance and impediments. She is holding a severed human head in her left hand, which represents the ego's demise and the soul's liberation from material bonds.
With her wide, intense eyes and protruding tongue, Mahakali has an expressive visage that is frequently used in her iconography to symbolize her ferocity and the power of time. Skulls and bones are used as ornaments on her, including a garland of them around her neck, which represents the cycles of creation and destruction in addition to her function as the goddess of time and metamorphosis.
The base of the statue is carefully carved, giving a strong basis and boosting the artistic qualities of the artwork. The statue appears old and has a sense of veneration because of its oxidized copper body. This statue is a beautifully crafted work of religious art as well as a symbolic depiction of Mahakali's transforming and protective powers.
