Buddhist Sita Tara Thangka | A Symbol of Compassion
Sacred Sita Tara Thangka | Divine Protection and Blessings
Buddhist Sita Tara, one of the most renowned female goddesses, represents compassion and protection, embodying an enlightened energy that heals those in need. This thangka is created on cotton canvas, offering a smooth and durable surface that brings out the fine details of the painting. The use of acrylic colors gives the artwork rich, vibrant tones and lasting quality, allowing each element to shine with clarity and depth. Genuine 24K gold is carefully applied to highlight sacred features such as the halo and ornamental details around the deity, adding a touch of brilliance and enhancing the thangka’s spiritual significance. The combination of thoughtful materials and careful artwork makes this piece both visually striking and deeply meaningful.
White Tara, a revered goddess in Tibetan Buddhism, is a symbol of compassion, healing, and spiritual enlightenment. She is depicted seated in the lotus position (padmasana), reflecting balance, tranquility, and inner awakening. Her right hand is in the Varada mudra, representing her power to offer blessings, healing, and kindness to all beings. In contrast, her left hand holds a lotus flower, symbolizing purity, compassion, and spiritual growth. White Tara is uniquely portrayed with seven eyes, on her forehead, palms, and soles, signifying her all-seeing awareness of suffering and her deep commitment to relieving it. Her serene expression and gentle posture convey divine wisdom and protection, making her a guiding presence and a powerful source of longevity, peace, and spiritual refuge for those in need.
