Traditional Blue Healing Buddha Thangka | Sacred Art for Purification

Carefully hand-painted, the Blue Healing Buddha Thangka embodies the profound spirit of Bhaisajyaguru, the divine healer and protector of health in Buddhism. This thangka was hand-painted in the traditional Karma Gadri style, renowned for its intricate and vibrant decorations. The artist used acrylics to accentuate the Blue Healing Buddha's deep tones, especially its striking blue body characteristic of this style. Using genuine 24K gold enhances details like the Buddha's robe and religious symbols, giving the artwork a brilliant, sacred character. The painting's base is made of sturdy, textured cotton canvas, which supports the intricate brushwork and golden highlights.

This deity, also known as the Buddha of Medicine, is associated with healing on both physical and spiritual levels. He is seated in the traditional contemplative vajra position, with both legs crossed in a lotus position, representing stability and peace. His left hand holds a medicine bowl, symbolizing his power to alleviate pain, while his right hand rests in a meditative posture, representing his profound wisdom and compassion. The blue color on his body symbolizes the purifying and healing aspect of his energy, which promotes balance and restoration on both physical and spiritual levels.
