About Our Statue

The Golden Cosmic Buddha Vairocana Statue stands 7.9 inches (20 cm) tall, with a base width of 5.1 inches (13 cm), and weighs 1.06 kg. Crafted from copper, it is adorned with 24K gold gilding and detailed with gold and acrylic paintings. This finely handcrafted statue represents Vairocana, the cosmic Buddha embodying the universal dharma, making it a serene and meaningful addition to altars, meditation spaces, or spiritual collections.

The statue features the Dharma Chakra mudrā, a symbolic hand gesture representing the “turning of the wheel of Dharma,” which signifies the Buddha’s teaching and the continuous cycle of wisdom and enlightenment. The crown adorning the figure symbolizes its enlightened status and spiritual authority. Seated in the padmasana, or lotus posture, the figure demonstrates stability and profound meditation; this traditional pose symbolizes purity and spiritual awakening, much like the lotus flower that rises unstained from muddy waters, representing detachment from worldly distractions and the blossoming of enlightened awareness.

Vairocana is regarded as the Cosmic Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the universal, formless essence of enlightenment. He embodies the Dharmakaya, the truth body, which transcends individual identity and permeates all existence. As the central figure among the Five Dhyani Buddhas, Vairocana symbolizes the pure, undivided nature of ultimate reality and the profound wisdom that perceives things as they truly are, free from duality or illusion. Associated with the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, he embodies the understanding of śūnyatā (emptiness), where all phenomena are viewed as interdependent and devoid of inherent existence. Vairocana is often regarded as the source from which all Buddhas arise, embodying the illuminating clarity of awakened awareness and the boundless compassion that underlies the enlightened state.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
