About Our Statue
This 24K Gold Gilded Copper Vajrasattva Sculpture for Spiritual Altar, a representation of transformation and purity in Tibetan Buddhism, can enhance your meditation and spiritual cleaning practices. The "Diamond Being," Vajrasattva, is worshipped as the ultimate purification god and is called upon to eliminate inner impurities and negative karma. This statue is a potent presence in any sacred location due to its calm stance and symbolic tools, which exude healing and wisdom.
Hand-applied gold and acrylic details further enrich this spiritual sculpture, which is expertly made from a pure copper body and gilded with bright 24K gold. The god is holding a bell and a vajra (dorje), which stand for knowledge and method, two essential elements of the Vajrayana path. This Vajrasattva statue is ideal for individual shrines, ceremonies, or exhibitions. It exudes timeless elegance and provides its surroundings with spiritual regeneration and protective energy.
Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
