Introduction To The Thangka :
White Tara is known as "the Goddess of Seven Eyes" because she is represented with eyes in her hands and feet in addition to the third eye. This symbolizes White Tara observing all human sorrow and encouraging the devotee to develop alertness and awareness to the energy inside and around them.
White Tara can be seen sitting on a lotus throne. Her entire body is white, and she is in the Vajra pose. Her left hand, which is on her heart, is holding a flowering lotus stalk beside her left shoulder. Her right hand is in the Varadamudra position, which represents great generosity. She has all six ornaments on.
How does Thangka benefit us?
It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment.
