Above the main deity and her emanations are the Five Dhyani Buddhas: Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi, each positioned according to their directional associations. They represent the transformation of five negative emotions into five pearls of wisdom and anchor the thangka in a mandalic orientation. Their arrangement reinforces the spiritual completeness of the piece, symbolizing compassion, wisdom, power, abundance, and fearlessness in all directions.
