Padmasambhava, The Lotus Born Master Thangka
In this exquisite traditional thangka of Padmasambhava, Guru is settled where a magnificent lotus blooms in the midst of a vast lake. This lotus holds deep symbolism, representing the triumph of pure, positive energy over negativity. Seated gracefully upon a lotus seat, Guru Rinpoche holds a 9-pronged vajra in his right hand, symbolizing his mastery over spiritual practices and his ability to dispel obstacles. In his other hand, he carries a skull cup, representing the transmutation of ignorance into wisdom. The adornment of a lotus hat graces his head, while a trident leans against his left shoulder, underscoring his spiritual power. This captivating thangka utilizes acrylics color and genuine 24k gold on a cotton canvas. This thangka invites us to connect with the wisdom and blessings of Guru Rinpoche as we embark on our own spiritual journey.
