Buddhist Stupa
About Our Stupa
This 18.5 cm tall, painstakingly carved Stupa Buddhist is a powerful representation of enlightenment and Buddhist teachings. It is mounted on a bronze body. The stupa's earthy, classic charm is a result of its bronze, which reflects Buddhist culture's long-standing customs and artistic flair. Its tiny yet detailed design makes it a potent spiritual item, embodying the presence of the Buddha's knowledge and teachings in tangible form. This holy object gains depth and character from the finely detailed surface of polished metal.
This stupa is distinctive in that it has carved deities on either side, which adds levels of artistic and spiritual complexity. These intricately carved deities reflect aspects of protection, knowledge, and compassion, connecting the observer or practitioner with the energies and virtues they embody. This stupa offers a concrete link to Buddhist spirituality and is a stunning piece of art. It is perfect for meditation areas, altars, or as a decorative item.
Introduction To Stupa:
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated but sometimes buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The stupa's base represents his crossed legs as he sat meditatively. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
