Introduction To Treasure Box :
In Buddhism, it is said that the rationale for hiding Treasures is said to have been formulated when Padmasambhava discerned the future, a time when Tibetans would need special teachings to get them through specific difficult periods. He, therefore, designed particular Buddhist practices and scriptures just for those times and proceeded to set up the circumstances for those special teachings to be revealed at just the right moment. This involved designating some of his own disciples to reveal those teachings in a future lifetime. Padmasambhava then uttered an empowering prophecy about that future revelation and proceeded to hide the teachings so that they would not be available until the proper prophesied moment in the future.
Thus, today treasure Box is used for various purposes. One can use the Treasure Box to set up and do the meditation or use it as a decorative purpose for meditation. Sometimes they contain different chambers for specific things.
