Miniature Green Tara Statue | Tibetan Buddhist Art

Traditionally Crafted Miniature Statue of Green Tara

We have exquisitely sculpted the miniature statue of Green Tara by machine and gilded the face with gold carved by hand. The deity depicted atop a moon disc lotus seat is mesmerizing. We used the machine to craft the oxidized copper body and plated it with silver. The Green Tara Goddess, seated in the lalita posture, is depicted in this statue. Her left hand is holding an utpala, which represents purity, while her right hand is in varada mudra.

Green Tara is the manifestation from whence all of Tara's other forms emerge, connected with enlightened action and active compassion. Tara is the most revered of the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon's female enlightened deities. She is "the mother of all buddhas" and "she who ferries beings over the ocean of samsara" since she is the embodiment of enlightened love and compassion.
