Life Story Of Shakyamuni Buddha

Introduction To The Thangka :

Sakyamuni Buddha descended to the earth to reveal the fortunate creatures the way out of the circle of life. To achieve perfect enlightenment, he engaged in all Bodhisattva acts. He traversed the world educating for the benefit of all sentient creatures till the end of his life.

The Prajnaparamit, the essence of Lord Buddha's teachings, encompasses the two main doctrines of Prajna (wisdom) and Upaya (method). In this sutra, Buddha makes clear what emptiness is and how realizing it is the perfect cure for both self-deception and the things that are the source of cyclic existence. Similarly, this Stra essentially describes the several steps on the route to Buddhahood, which is the ultimate objective of sentient beings. It implies that in order to become enlightened, one must simultaneously exercise knowledge and method.
