Ganesha Thangka Prints
Introduction To The Thangka Print :
This beautiful Newari thangka print of Ganesh is one of the most popular guardian deities worshipped by Hindus and Buddhists alike.
Ganesh is said to be the eliminator of obstacles and is worshipped daily by all . Ganesh ,the elephant headed god of wisdom and success is the defender and remover of obstacles and has to be propitiated first before worshipping any other gods. Being one of the sons of Shiva he bestows success in any form of work. His elephant head has only one full tusk and the other was broken during a battle with the demons . He rides on a mouse which is also his vehicle for transportation. In his right hand he carries a mala or a set of beads in a string of thread and a laddu i.e. sweet ball and in the left hand a parasu i.e. an axe and a radish.
This is a perfect painting you can purchase for yourself or your loved ones for any occasion.
How does Thangka benefit us?
It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment. The Thangka is revered as a holy item. They promote positivity, spread Buddhism's teachings, bring about peace, harmony, and oneness, and dispel any negative energy that may be there.
