Dzambhala Tibetan Thangka

Introduction To The Thangka :

Dzambala is sometimes referred to as the "Money Guard." Kubera is the Buddhist equivalent of the God of Wealth. Zambala, who appears rich, is always represented as somewhat overweight but not obese, with a good figure. He wears a beautiful crown on his spherical head and holds a lemon in his right hand. He is usually spotted perched atop what looks to be a charming tiny dragon. Dragons are venerated as beneficial spirits in Asia. In his left hand, Zambala holds a mangoose that spits forth jewels. He also typically carries other symbols of abundant wealth in his hands, such as a money bag packed with coins. Zambala seems semi-wrathful, perched on a moon disc atop a lotus seat with his right hand raised.

How does Thangka benefit us?

It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment. The Thangka is revered as a holy item. They promote positivity, spread Buddhism's teachings, bring about peace, harmony, and oneness, and dispel any negative energy that may be there.
