Dharma Wheel

About Our Ritual Item :

The Dharma Wheel is twice the height of the deer, who sit peacefully next to it, their knees folded under them and heads raised to gaze at the wheel. Pure 24K gold is used to decorate the Dharma Wheel and a pair of deer.

Introduction To The Dharma Wheel :

The Dharma Wheel is a spherical wheel that depicts the perfection of the dharma, the Buddha's teaching. It is constructed of copper and gold-plated. The Wheel's rim reflects the meditative attention and awareness that keep practice together. Moral discipline is represented by the hub. The three spirals that are frequently observed on the hub are thought to represent the Three Treasures or Three Jewel's buddha, dharma, and sangha. They also symbolize happiness.

The Deer represents harmony, happiness, peace, and longevity in Buddhism. When a male and female Deer are shown together, it is a clear connection to Buddha's initial teachings near Varanasi. Buddha was a golden deer who communicated to men in one of his previous lifetimes. According to that tradition, deer are naturally modest and peaceful animals, and their presence in a location indicates the purity of a brave kingdom.
