About Our Ritual Item :
This Antique Copper Buddhist Stupa Statue, a timeless representation of the Buddha's thought and presence, symbolizes the essence of enlightenment and spiritual awakening. This 18cm tall stupa, which has been handcrafted with meticulous workmanship and polished in a gorgeously aged patina, is intended to complement your altar, meditation room, or sacred corner. Its stepped foundation features traditional Tibetan designs, and the graceful, tiered structure exudes balance and adoration.
One of the eight primary symbols of Buddhism, the stupa (or "chorten" in Tibetan) is respected and frequently contains sacred relics, mantras, or spiritual benefits. This sculpture, which combines classic style with spiritual authenticity, is composed of copper with an antique finish. This stupa, perfect for practitioners, monks, or collectors, cultivates merit, improves any ritual practice, and acts as a daily reminder of the way to enlightenment.
Introduction To Stupa :
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The stupa's base represents his crossed legs as he sat meditatively. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
