Lhasa Historical Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka | Siddhartha Gautama | Buddha of Wisdom & Compassion
Our historical Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka is a remarkable work of Tibetan art, demonstrating the exceptional workmanship of this rich tradition. Hand-painted on high-quality cotton canvas, it features natural pigments from Lhasa stone, prized for their vibrant, deep colors. The 24K gold accents bring out the Buddha's figure with a radiant glow, adding to the artwork's spiritual power. Created in the Karma Gadri style, it blends ancient artistry with spiritual symbolism, transforming it from a decorative artwork into a revered tool for meditation and reflection.
Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical figure who achieved enlightenment and shared the path to liberation with the world. In this thangka, he is depicted in the Bhumi-Sparsa Mudra, or Earth Touching Gesture, symbolizing his spiritual awakening and the moment he called upon the earth to witness his profound enlightenment. The intricate details, including the folds of his robe and peaceful expression, are meticulously painted using natural Lhasa stone colors, ensuring authenticity and a divine energy. This thangka is a visual representation of Shakyamuni and a tangible manifestation of his teachings, offering beauty and spiritual depth for those seeking enlightenment.
