Amitayus, the Buddha of Infinite Life, symbolizes long life, vitality, and spiritual abundance. His calm expression and gentle gaze show his deep compassion for all living beings. He is seated in the vajra posture, which involves his legs being crossed, and he is ready for meditation. He holds the long-life vase (kalasha) filled with the nectar of immortality in his lap, symbolizing health and longevity. The crown and jewelry he wears show his enlightened status as a Buddha. The lotus base he sits on represents purity and spiritual growth, rising above worldly stains. Together, these symbols convey Amitayus’ role in bestowing long life and spiritual richness upon devoted practitioners.
Bodhisattva Amitayus, often associated with Amitabha Buddha in Mahayana Buddhism, embodies the principle of limitless life and health. His practice is especially cherished for its power to overcome physical and spiritual obstacles to longevity and enlightenment. Amitayus' teachings encourage practitioners to cultivate virtues and live a life of mindfulness and compassion, promising a path to liberation and the realization of one's true Buddha nature.

How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
